Doodle heads done in a snap! Breaking down the face structure into three parts really helps get faces done in a breeze. Come learn the answers to those burning questions of what to do (or not do), and the legalities and liabilities associated with these decisions. To pluck or not pluck ears? Are anal glands my responsibility? Can I add teeth scaling as a new service? What are the most important things I need to know for the health of the pet?
Anybody who has been “in dogs” for any period of time knows what a brachycephalic breed is. These dogs have short muzzles and broad heads and include such popular breeds as English Bulldogs, Boston Terriers and Shih Tzus, to name a few. These breeds come with their own set of issues that can cause problems, especially in the grooming process. Just washing the face of one of these breeds can be a challenge! Teri will focus on some of the problems unique to these breeds and how we can overcome these issues in the salon, sending out a clean, well-groomed dog with a sweet-looking and -smelling face.
In this class designed from Nathan and Kathlena’s personal love for Scotties, they will demonstrate and rectify common grooming mistakes and show the correct breed profile. They will also craft a salon-friendly Scottie style that retains the breed’s characteristic look but is easily maintainable for your clients.
What are the Do’s and Don’ts of mix breed styling? Judy will show you how to give those mixed breeds personality with a simple and cute trim that will make any client happy.
In pet grooming, clients often ask for breed standard facial expression because it is the face that represents the look of the breed the most. Here you’ll learn how to create the perfect Bichon head and how to achieve that round face on a Westie. Both breeds have round heads, but you have to apply different scissoring techniques to achieve that round look since these breeds have different types of hair. Both haircuts can be challenging in their own way, but will be way easier to execute after you learn a few tricks.
Allison to the rescue! This is a step-by-step tutorial on basic topknot banding. With the technique shown, you can topknot any Poodle with any length or thickness of coat. Allison will also demonstrate how to spray up your topknot with style and consistency.
Let Angela show you a few quick finishing techniques on fusion faces. Colored brows on a Schnauzer or a little cheek color is just the subtle touch that those cute faces might need to add an extra boost to your grooms.
